Meatless Meatballs (vegetarian)

1 lb. stale bread, crusts removed and cut into thick slices
1 1/2 cups milk
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup chopped basil
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper
red pepper flakes
Olive oil for browning
2 cups of tomato sauce (homemade or jarred)
Mix all ingredients except the oil and tomato sauce. Shape into 2" balls and brown in the olive oil. Serve with the tomato sauce.
